Place leadership is demanding and the partnership landscape is complex

Regeneration and placemaking are long-term endeavours that depend on effective partnerships between the public and private sectors. Leaders who commission these projects carry significant responsibility — selecting the right partners, structuring the right deals, and maintaining performance over years or decades.

Too often, organisations enter these relationships without the internal capability, confidence or commercial awareness to get the best from their partners. The result is underperformance, misalignment and missed opportunity.

Coaching leaders through the critical moments

I begin by reviewing your organisation's readiness: systems, team capability, commercial awareness and governance, and coach your leadership through each stage of the partnership lifecycle.

01

Before the partnership

Preparing your organisation to engage with confidence. Building commercial awareness, defining what good looks like, and ensuring you are structured to select the right partner.

02

At the point of selection

Supporting the partner selection process: evaluation frameworks, negotiation strategy, and deal structuring, so you enter the relationship on the right terms.

03

Through the life of the partnership

Ongoing coaching and performance review. Acting as a critical friend to help you hold partners accountable, manage tensions early and extract maximum value over the long term.

Personally delivered, practitioner led

MRP Strategy is led by Mark Robinson: twenty years' experience in mixed-use regeneration, including founding Ellandi, an award-winning and ground-breaking urban fixer.

This is not a consultancy that sends a team. Mark is the person who does the work: the advisor in the room, the coach on the call, the critical friend who has sat where your partners sit and knows what good looks like from both sides of the table.
